Meet President Buhari new Chief of Staff

Ibrahim Agboola Gambari, CFR (born November 24, 1944, in Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria) is a Nigerian scholar and diplomat. He was Minister for External Affairs between 1984 and 1985. Gambari has been appointed by the secretary-general of United Nations Ban Ki-moon and the chairperson of the African Union Commission as Joint African Union-United Nations Special Representative for Darfur effective from 1 January 2010.[1] He is currently the Special Adviser on the International Compact with Iraq and Other Issues for the Secretary-General of the United Nations. Previously, he served as the Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations (USG) for the Department of Political Affairs (DPA). He was appointed on June 10, 2005, and assumed the post on July 1 of that year. BREAKING: Abducted Akewugbagold Twins Released.

The abducted twins of Alhaji Taofeeq Akewugbagold, a former chairman of the Oyo State Pilgrims Welfare Board (Muslim wing) have been released. Their release came exactly 8 days after their abduction at their parents’ Ojoo, Ibadan house. Though Akewugbagold did not state whether or not any ransom was paid, OYOINSIGHT.COM had reported how the Oyo-born Islamic cleric told newsmen that they had reached out to him and demanded the sum of N55 million. Akewugbagold who confirmed this wrote on his Facebook account that “ALHAMDULILLAH! AT 5.30AM OF SUNDAY 3RD MAY, MY ABDUCTED TWIN KIDS ARE RELEASED TO ME BESIDE A BUSH AFTER 8DAYS IN AN UNKNOWN LAND. THANKS TO U ALL FOR FOR YOUR PRAYERS AND SUPPORT, JAZAKUMULLAHU KHAIRAN. ABERE MI BO SINU OKUN, OLOUN YO PADA FUN MI.“
